Oceans feel the heat

Extreme weather events linked to climate change are now a frequent occurrence around the globe, but atmospheric phenomena are only a small part of the climate disruption. Most of the excess energy soaked up by our overheating planet is stored in the oceans. The current marine heatwave in the North Atlantic and the Southern Ocean gives us a preview of troubles brewing in warmer waters. Michael Gross reports.
