The acquisition (or not) of property in the metaverse: The tokenization of real estate assets

In the present work, the figure of real estate tokenization will be analyzed, specifically, from the prism of the possible acquisition of the property through the purchase of a token linked to a real estate. For this, three different scenarios will be exposed, analyzing whether in each of the tokenization situations, it is possible to acquire the real property right or not. In order to achieve the aforementioned objective, it will be necessary to also address the current situation of the so-called metaverses, where, despite the fact that they are still in an early phase of their technological development, different activities can be carried out, one of them being the one that gives place precisely to the present study, that is, the real estate.
