摘要
Utilizing electromagnetic mechanisms, energy harvesting from linear and non-linear lateral vibration of a rotating shaft is investigated in the present study. Moreover, the boundary condition of the shaft is simply supported, and the stretching for the given shaft is addressed for a non-linear mode. In this respect, rotary inertia and gyroscopic effects are correspondingly included, but shear deformation is neglected. It is thus assumed that there are eight coils around the shaft and two permanent magnets are similarly placed on it. Therefore, deflection occurs as the shaft spins, leading to electromagnetic induction. The induced power is then calculated, and the results are plotted using the Maple software. The main tasks in this study are representing an analytical model to analyze the system and calculate the effect of some parameters on the induced power. Furthermore, it is demonstrated that some parameters have more significant effects than others. To verify the extracted results, a comparison is also made between the findings of this study and those in an experimental work, and it is ultimately confirmed that the given results are physically matched.
