摘要
BACKGROUND: COVID-19 not only accompanies death risk caused by infection but also brings an unbearable mental pressure with its risk of infection that could cause post-traumatic stress disorder symptoms. COVID-19-PTSD questionnaire evaluates the related symptoms with COVID-19-PTSD. Therefore, the current study aimed to determine the psychometric properties of COVID-19-PTSD in the Iranian population.METHODS: This cross-sectional study was conducted on 403 individuals of Shiraz city from the Fars province society (being at least 18 years old) in 2020 who selected by convenience sampling. A demographic questionnaire, COVID19-PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, and stress scale (DASS-21), and impact of the event scale-revised (IES-R) were utilized online. SPSS-21 (SPSS Inc., Chicago, IL, USA) and Amos-20 statistical software (IBM Corp., Armonk, NY, USA) were utilized for data analysis. Also, descriptive statistic indicators, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), independent t-test, and Pearson's correlation coefficient, and Cronbach's a were used.RESULTS: Two hundred fourteen individuals (53.1% of participants) were men, and 189 individuals (46.9% of participants) were women. Cronbach's a of the research was 0.912. There was a positive and significant correlation among COVID-19-PTSD, DASS-21, and IES-R (P<0.05), which indicates the appropriate convergent validity of the questionnaire. The results have shown that the modified seven-factor model of COVID-19-PTSD has a good fit.CONCLUSIONS: Results of the current study have shown that COVID-19-PTSD has good validity and reliability among the Iranian population. Also, COVID-19-PTSD could be utilized to sieve and screen the PTSD related to COVID-19 and diagnosis treatments.
