Educating leisure in hasty society: Valuable leisure as the horizon

Starting from the conflict of the social times that characterizes the current network society, this paper highlights the need to rethink their organization and enhance a greater role of leisure time, since it is a reference for human development. Thus, by means of a grounded theoretical reflection, and justified the importance of leisure as a time with value in itself, the article has a twofold objective: to analyze the main theories that explain the different degrees of intensity of the leisure experience and its different influence on human development, as well as the importance of leisure education in the achievement of those more intense experiences, and, therefore, more valuable that are those that offer higher levels of welfare. valuable experiences that offer greater levels of well-being. It is concluded by highlighting the need to propose public policies on the social use of time, which allows harmonizing them so that citizens find in leisure an area of development and personal growth.
