Short term "quick fixes" won't see NHS through to 100 years, think tanks warn

The three organisations added that, despite these problems, public support for the NHS as a service free at the point of use was "rock solid."They warned that recovering NHS services and reducing waiting times should be a priority for any government but that the current outlook was for a "managed decline"- without long term policies to support a healthy economy and healthy population by boosting innovation, capacity, and technology "over multiple years." © Published by the BMJ Publishing Group Limited.
