摘要
The chemical and biological applications of silicon(IV) complexes of N, O, and S donor ligands discovered in past few years are the main topics of this comprehensive review (>100 references). The review mainly covers the synthesis and biological activity of the complexes. The structure of these complexes are discussed on the basis of electronic, infrared, multinuclear (H-1 NMR, C-13 NMR and Si-29 NMR) spectral and X-ray crystallographic studies. These silicon complexes exhibited significant activity against all the tested microorganisms.
