摘要
The Brazilian Space Agency has published the Brazilian Space Industry and the Alcantara Space Center Supplier Catalogs. Together, they provide a comprehensive list of companies that are currently active in the space sector in Brazil. The purpose of this article is to analyze the Brazilian private space sector, based on companies that provide services for Brazil's main launching center and that are presented to the world by Brazil's own space agency. We show that the companies that are active in this sector are of 2 types: typically space companies and not typically space companies (i.e., companies from other sectors that occasionally provide services for the space sector). We show that these companies differ in location, size, and educational levels of their workforce.
