摘要
Induction thermography (IT) and eddy current testing (ECT) are contactless, non-destructive evaluation (NDE) techniques that can be coupled by eddy currents. By combining the synergized effects of both techniques, we can detect a wider variety of defects and improve detection and sizing reliability. We clarified the mechanism of IT in terms of energy transfer through theoretical and numerical analysis and investigated characteristic features to enhance detection and sizing of cracks in ferromagnetic metal works.
