摘要
It is well-understood that many older adults have multiple morbidities that can impact their oral, systemic, and psychological health and in turn are affected by additional factors such as treatment regimens for their morbidities as well as envi-ronmental, cultural, social supports and cohesion, and personal factors and behav-iors. Each variable and its strength in the patient's life must be considered to develop an appropriate care delivery strategy that weighs the extent of all influencing vari-ables. By assessing the common phenotypic presentations of older adults, we can better understand, select, and coordinate involving colleagues from an interdisci-plinary team on the treatment modifications that are needed to navigate and deliver the most appropriate care for our older adult patients in an individualized, strategic, and successful manner.
