摘要：
In this article we explore the interpretative hypothesis that a retrospective reading of the texts in which Emmanuel Levinas refers to death will allow us to grasp whether his approach to this topic can be traced back to the beginnings of his ethicalmetaphysical philosophy, at the base of the pluralism of face-to-face. Discussions of death in Levinas's works are reviewed by inverting the usual chronology.
