Four-body baryonic B → B1(B)over-bar1'B2(B)over-bar2' decays

摘要
LHCb has recently reported the first observation of a four-body baryonic B -> B-1(B) over bar (1)'B-2(B) over bar (2)' decay, where B-1(B) over bar (1)' and B-2(B) over bar (2)' represent the two pairs of octet baryon states. In our classification, the measured (B) over bar (0) -> p (p) over barp (p) over bar decay is a tree dominated process via internal W-boson emission, whose branching fraction is explained as small as 2.2 x10-8. We investigate for the first time the phenomenology of other tree and penguin dominated B -> B-1(B) over bar (1)'B-2(B) over bar (2)' decays, and predict the presence of a double threshold effect, manifested as two peaks around m(B1 (B) over bar1') similar to m(B1) + m((B) over bar1') and m(B2 (B) over bar2') similar to m(B2)+ m((B) over bar2') in the invariant mass spectra of B-1(B) over bar (1)' and B-2(B) over bar (2)', respectively. Moreover, we predict the following branching fractions: B(B- -> n (p) over barp (p) over bar) =(1.7(-0.2)(+0.4) +/- 0.1(-0.4)(+0.7)) x 10(-7), B(B- -> Lambda(p) over barp (p) over bar) =(7.4(-0.2)(+0.6) +/- 0.03(-2.6)(+3.6)) x10(-7), and B((B) over bar (0)(s) -> Lambda(Lambda) over barp (p) over bar) =(1.9(-.01)(+0.3) +/- 0.01(-0.6)(+1.1)) x 10(-7), which are accessible to experimental facilities.
