摘要：
The present work reports new distributional record of two Gobiid fishes, Mugilogobius tigrinus and Mangarinus waterousi with new maximum length from the Indian coastal waters. Data on taxonomic characters, occurrence and distribution of two gobiid fish species were provided herein. Two specimens of each M. tigrinus and M. waterousi were collected from the mangrove habitats in Ennore estuary on the east coast, and multiple specimens of M. tigrinus were collected from mangrove habitats in the Airoli estuary on the west coast of India. This study documents the occurrence of M. tigrinus from the west coast for the first time and extended distribution of M. tigrinus and M. waterousi in the east coast.
