摘要
The cultivation system, referred to in Colombia as the vegetable garden, is a place where a colossal diversity of food is cultivated, and intertwined thoughts, practices, languages, rhythms, times, as well as forms of social coexistence, established from a logic of their own. This article presents a systema-tization around the cultivation systems and is exemplified ethnographically with the particular case of the Andean orchards in Figueroa, department of Cauca. The focus of the following research is ethnographic, it is based on a careful review of theoretical and methodological contributions, mainly from disciplinary areas such as natural sciences and anthropology. It is identified that the production units are biodiverse spaces, which have been adapted based on orographic conditions, climates and cultural dynamics, although its name varies in each region, in many cases by virtue of the mother tongue of the communities that inhabit these territories, likewise, the techniques and knowledge used are objectified, with a kind of nuances in each geographical portion.
