摘要
Ideal waste management is expected to be able to handle waste problems that occur in the community and can also have an impact on the community's economy. This paper discusses the implementation of an ideal waste management in Indonesia. The method used was an integrated waste management involving all elements of society and consider the conditions and potentials of the residents with a bottom-up approach. Integrated waste management includes increasing public knowledge about waste and waste management, increasing community skills in processing waste (organic or inorganic), providing facilities or tools for waste processing both at household and communal scale, as well as assistance and monitoring of implementation from the planning stage to the final stage. implementation. Socialization activities are an important stage for the community capacity building program in integrated waste management because the success of integrated waste management is very dependent on public awareness to manage waste and requires knowledge and changes in perspective on waste and waste management. It is concluded that the integrated waste management is impossible without the community. In the meantime, when implemented well, the people will benefit from the integrated waste management.
