摘要
Introduction: This work aims to present a panorama of Brazilian scientific studies in the Information Science field that address the open peer review model. Method: This is a quantitative and qualitative research approach, of bibliographic and exploratory nature. The bibliographic survey followed the assumptions of a state-of-the-art review and was carried out in the following information sources: Reference Database of Journal Articles in Information Science (Brapci), Google Scholar, OasisBR, and Digital Library of Theses and Dissertations (BDTD). The search term "open peer review" and a time frame between 2011-2021 were defined. The search retrieved twenty results and, after filtering so that the papers met the established criterion (being from Brazilian authors in the Information Science field), the sample resulted in eleven productions. The analysis occurred in two stages: the first, of descriptive data of the works, and the second following the assumptions of Bardin's content analysis with the establishment of categories to investigate the discussions proposed in these productions. Results: It was found that there is a group of Brazilian researchers dedicated to developing studies on open peer review in the field of Information Science. Conclusions: Thus, due to the reduced number of papers retrieved and analyzed in this study, we reiterate the relevance of developing further research on the subject in order to consolidate the theme in the scope of the area, contributing greatly to the studies of scientific communication, and, consequently, with the development of science and society.
