Magnetic structure and macroscopic magnetic properties of Gd100-xCox films: Changing x from 0 to 100

摘要
This work presents the results of a systematic study of the magnetic properties of Gd-Co films obtained by RF sputtering. An analysis of the change in the Curie temperature and the main parameters of the hysteresis loops upon varying the Co content (0-100 at.%), temperature (0-350 K) and magnetic field (0-70 kOe) is given. On its basis, a holistic picture of the magnetism of a binary system is developed. Depending on the composition, it is modeled as an inhomogeneous ferro-speromagnetic state, a partially ordered state with a ferromagnetic structure, and collinear ferrimagnetism with a compositionally varying effective magnetic moment on the Co atom.
