Transinclusive Education in Physical Education: A Case Study

摘要
The school is a socialising agent and plays a crucial role in changing attitudes towards the LGTBIQ+ community. The field of Physical Activity and Sport is a heteronormative space where members of this community generally have no place. Using a qualitative methodology based on a case study of a transgender student in a specific school, the aim is to demonstrate to what extent certain educational practices within the area of Physical Education are transinclusive. The results present (1) the good practices carried out by the school in order to be identified as transinclusive and (2) the challenges still pending to guarantee an equal education based on diversity where all gender identities are recognized.
