摘要
In the past decade, urban pluvial flood-induced impacts on road traffic have been studied in the context of global climate change and rapid urbanization. The main objective of this paper is to conduct an up-to-date review on the impact analysis and risk assessment of urban pluvial floods on road traffic in terms of theories, methods, innovative results, and techniques. The systemic overview includes these topics of the pluvial flood-induced vehicle driving hazards, road traffic capacity loss, risk assessment approaches, and pluvial flood inundation modeling applications. Based on such plenty of literature, the physical and socioeconomic susceptibilities of road traffic exposed to urban pluvial flood have been repeatedly proven. Additionally, the pluvial flood inundation modeling methods, which are the starting point and essential operation for impact analysis and risk assessment related to road flooding, are statistically discussed and compared in this work. The recent advances achieved in the involved scopes are expected to provide an insight into the feasible options for some areas and regions that are or will be at risk from pluvial flooding.
