摘要
The article attempts to reconstruct the semiosphere of the concept "Russian" in Vasily Zhukovsky's lyric poetry. Having examined the full corpus of lyric poetry, the author has identified genre varieties of poems, where the concept "Russian" is the most relevant: official odes, battle-hymn patriotic poems, and home parodies. However, the semiosphere of the concept "Russian" is different in these genre varieties. In ode-hymn and battle poems, the concept "Russian" is duplicated by the concept "Slavic", and its semiosphere is made up of traditional attributes of state emblems, national self-consciousness, national pride, and official state-imperial mythopoetics, which is quite close to the official ideological triad of the Russian Empire "Orthodoxy, Autocracy, and Nationality". In the works created in line with epigrammatic poetry, domestic lyrics and friendly messages, the concept "Russian" is associated primarily with the semes of language and literature. Thus, the semiosphere of the concept "Russian" in Zhukovsky's lyric poetry conjugates the semiospheres of the two main genre tendencies of his lyrical heritage and can be described through the combination of two main semes: language (verbal creativity) and civic position.
