摘要
This article aims to analyze the actions of the Joseph Biden administration to recover the us economic-commercial leadership in Asia Pacific, just as the trustworthiness of its regional allies; after former president Donald Trump decided to with-draw the us from Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) in 2017 and renegotiated free trade agreements. Besides, this in the context of the confrontation between China and UsA for world hegemony and the signing, in November 2020, of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), an initiative in which China is present and has been identified as the largest free trade agreement in history. It is considered that the Biden administra-tion will do everything possible to return to Asia Pacific, emulating what was done with the strategy called "Pivot to Asia", and thus counterbalance the Chinese rise, through instruments such as the Free and Open Indo Pacific Strategy (FoIP).
