摘要
This paper analyses the usage of open data for planning shelters related to the volcanic hazard posed by Semeru Volcano, Lumajang Regency. The methodology involved open data collecton, spatial data creation and spatial analysis to determine a potential shelter location. Shelter related to Semeru Volcano eruption is based at schools and religious facilities. There are 627 schools, of which 612 (97.61%) are located outside the Semeru Volcano disaster hazardprone area. There are also 649 religious facilities, of which 622 (95.8%) are located outside the hazard-prone area. Only 48 schools (7.84%) and 36 religious facilities (5.79%) are located within 20 meters of a main road. Others are located within 20-100 meters from a main road or even further. Of the total 48 schools located within 25 meters of a main road, 26 (54.17%) are less than 1 km from health facilities, while ten schools (20.83%) are located 1-2 kilometers away from health facilities. Meanwhile, of the 36 religious facilities located within 25 meters of the main road, only 13 (3.12%) are located less than 1 km away from health facilities, and ten religious facilities (27.76%) are located 1-2 kilometers from health facilities.
