摘要
This article presents an overview of existing fuel cell technologies with a focus on their microgrid applications with and without heat and power coupled cycles. The cogeneration aspects of FCs in microgrid environment are also highlighted in this article. The paper also focuses on providing a detailed idea about the pros and cons of different types of FCs. A brief idea about the working process and construction of the PEMFC is also included in this article. This article mostly emphasizes the control and management issues which are encountered during the operation of a PEMFC. Different control strategies as well as robust control techniques used for the efficient management of PEMFC are also included in this article. The article articulates different type of control strategies to tackle deficiency of fuel (hydrogen and oxygen) in proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) systems.
