摘要
Dielectric property characterization of biological tissues plays a vital role during microwave diagnosis and treatment. Cole-Cole model is used commonly in the literature to express this frequency dependent properties. This modelling provides an effective and accurate representation of complex permittivity in a large frequency spectrum for the biological tissues. Many optimization techniques are used to calculate the Cole-Cole parameters. In this research, execution time and number of iteration of Particle Swarm Algorithm and Generalized Newton-Raphson method to calculate Cole-Cole parameters are listed. During this research, the frequency band is 0.5 - 6 GHz and between this frequency interval 271 equidistant points are selected. During the analysis, it is observed that Generalized Gauss Newton method took much less time to calculate the Cole-Cole parameters. At the same time, Particle Swarm Optimization calculated the Cole-Cole parameters with less number of iteration.
