摘要
Objective: This study focused on analyzing and describing the most current trends on the management of knowledge management in the process of teaching and learning the English language based on active educational methodologies and strategies. Methodology: The theoretical method of exhaustive bibliographic and documentary review and analysis of specialized scientific literature was used, thus resorting to a heuristic balance. Results and discussion: Based on the current importance of the English language, the application of various active methodologies is suggested in order to encourage encouragement and collaboration in students. The 40 essential tools for the study of a foreign language are also reflected, highlighting the WhatsApp application as the most liked and used means of communication and information exchange by students. These proposals would contribute positively to the development of knowledge management. Conclusions: The use of methodological strategies that encourage active intervention, improve communication and understanding of the language in students is proposed. Regarding language didactics, the perspectives discussed in the proposed study enrich and update its operation. Contribution: These resources contribute to the development of meaningful and permanent learning through adequate knowledge management in higher education.
