摘要
Vietnam is located in the strong and stable Asian monsoon region and has the largest wind power potential in the area. According to a World Bank study in 2001, at 65 meters height, over 39% of Vietnam's territory reaches an average wind speed in excess of 6 meters per second (m/s). In particular, land areas with yearly wind speeds of more than 7 m/s account for about 8% of the total. Wind energy advantages explain why wind power is one of the fast-growing renewable energy to help Vietnam achieve its Net Zero commitment by 2050. There have been many studies confirming the wind power potential of Vietnam, however, there has not been extensive research to evaluate the South due to the lack of monitoring data for wind power development, which requires large investment. From this perspective, this work aims to evaluate wind energy in a wind site in Dak Nong, Vietnam.
