A Hybrid Automatic Gain Control Scheme for TDD Communication Systems

摘要
In this paper, we propose an improvement to existing automatic gain control (AGC) schemes for time division duplex (TDD) systems. Due to the large signal power difference between uplink (UL) and downlink (DL) subframes in TDD systems, conventional AGC schemes cannot adjust the AGC gain fast enough, thus causing large variations in the AGC gain leading to signal degradation. We propose a system utilizing the best qualities of various detector types to allow our AGC to respond more efficiently to large signal increases and decreases than current schemes. With the help of computer simulations we show that our scheme provides increased performance and could be an attractive option for use in various communication systems.
