Levels of psychological stress and intestinal dysbiosis in healthcare students at a public higher education institution This is a study with the objective of evaluating the psychological stress and intestinal dysbiosis lovelsamong students in the health area of a Public Higher Education Institution (HEI). The survey was carried out remotely with university students over the years 2021 and 2022, through the Google Forms (R) platform. Students who were active in courses in the health area, who were enrolled and who were able to answer the questionnaires, were included. For the sample calculation, a non-probabilistic sampling was performed, for convenience (n=165). There was an analysis of the volunteers through socioeconomic questionnaires, metabolic screening (QRM) and the Lipp Stress Symptoms for Adults inventory -ISSL. The study sample consisted of, 76.4% (n=126) of the female sex and 23% of the male sex (n=39), distributed among courses in nutrition 72.7% (n=120), nursing 14.6% (n=24) and medicine 12.7% (n=21). As for the frequency of stress symptoms, it was found that 30.4% (n=50) of the sample did not present symptoms of stress and 44.8% (n=74) with the highest level of stress in the resistance phase, followed by 24.8% (n=41) who were classified in the exhaustion phase. When analyzing the QRM score, it was noticed that 59.4% (n=98) of the participants had a score > 40, that signals the certainty of the presence of hypersensitivity. Through the results, it was possible to observe that the university students of this HEI found themselves both in a high level of hypersensitivity, as well as in some level of psychological stress.
