摘要
The purpose of this research work is to provide a comprehensive literature review on sustainable management practices of leading corporates. The unquestionable relevance of the concept 'sustainability' raised the importance of this current research work which highlights the two major issues of the Indian economy. Firstly, the importance of implementing sustainable management practices and secondly, the country - India's position among the world's sustainable countries. The current study attempts to fill the existing gap through the literature review on corporate social responsibility initiatives and sustainable practices of the leading corporates from five major sectors of Indian economy. In addition to embedding sustainable management practices, we also extend the review through focusing upon the environmental performance index from 2012-2022, which shows the position of the country India among the whole world. The authors believe that this is possibly the most comprehensive review on the topic and will set the foundation for various research avenues based on the key findings and implications of this study.
