Small-signal stability analysis of shipboard power electronics-based DC microgrids

摘要
Stability is one of the most relevant technical issues for extensive and safe deployment of multi-converter DC microgrids on ships. In this paper, a small-signal stability analysis based on the impedance method was performed to assess the behavior of a multiconverter, single-bus, 1kV-600kW DC microgrid conceived for ship application. The analysis allowed to evaluate the DC bus voltage stability under different operating conditions and to discriminate the effects of different system design parameters on stability. The proposed analysis was validated by time domain simulations.
