摘要：

In the article, on the basis of publications of a spiritual nature and scientific sources of the period under study, the social and spiritual value of marriage is revealed. It is shown that the factors that strengthen and destroy marriage were mainly internal, such as love, the age of marriage, the health of the young, problems of a sexual nature. Of particular importance in the strength of the marriage were the duties performed by the spouses, which had a mutual, private and general character.
