摘要
A schematic diagram depicting the mechanism of algal cell death under the intermittent treatment of UVC/H2O2. (a) (b), two significant pathways for H2O2 entering the cell; (c) (d), major attacked sites in PSII; (e)(f)(g), three electron transport pathways; (h-n), a dynamic equilibrium of ROS production and consumption, (o-q), signal transduction from the thylakoid to the nucleus during apoptosis-like; (r), apoptosis-like and its features; (s), necrosis-like and its features (Cellular membrane permeability and integrity are damaged. ATP was insufficient to conduct apoptosis-like). Note: P700 and P680 are the central pigments of PSI and PSII, respectively. PQ: plastoquinone. PQH2: plastohydro quinone. Cyt b6/f: cytochrome b6/f complex. The cross mark showed the block of electron transfer, proton transfer, and other damaged sites.
