摘要
Considerable attention has previously been focused on the use of plant growth-promoting bacteria (PGPB) to facilitate the growth and development of edible agricultural plants. PGPB are plant beneficial bacteria that facilitate plant growth by a variety of means; PGPB can promote plant growth either directly or indirectly. On the other hand, here the use of PGPB to improve the growth, development and yield of non-edible horticultural plants is reviewed and briefly discussed. The employment of PGPB to facilitate the growth and yield of horticultural plants is a biological approach which is both eco-friendly and economical and may be used to reduce the use of agrochemicals which are much less environmentally friendly.
