摘要
In the present work, we are reporting a one-minute synthesis of silver nanoparticles using Desmodium gangeticum seed extract by ultrasonication method and their photocatalytic degradation of toxic dyes. The surface plasmon resonance (SPR) band of DG-AgNPs was observed at 411 nm. The calculated average particle size was 14.23 nm by HR-TEM. Toxic dyes such as Indigo Carmine, Crystal Violet, Aniline Blue, and Brilliant Blue have been degraded using DG-AgNPs as photocatalysts. Furthermore, DG-AgNPs, antibacterial activity was examined against the gram-positive and negative pathogens Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli, the DG-AgNPs have shown excellent antibacterial efficacy.
