Objective: Given the organizational boom that is sought in document management in the business environment, the objective of this research is to propose reflective points of view on organizational practices in document management in companies. Methodology: From the qualitative research, the achievement of documentary analysis methods and exploratory observation were used, the references are scientific articles from Google Scholar, and from high-impact magazines on the subject of document management and organizational practices in companies. which allowed a reflective analysis, from where the references and their discussion contribute to the enrichment of this knowledge. Discussion and results:. I favored reflection to specify that the generation of innovations maximizes the value of components such as information and knowledge, since document management is present in companies, which together with human resources and the effective use of information technologies , data is specified as the most powerful asset of the company, hence it requires planned attention with organizational continuity Conclusion: It is shown that the optimization of document management is an active process that demands constant improvements in correspondence with the development technology, the dynamism of acting, demands the needs and changes in the company. For this reason, it is important to maintain a culture of continuous and monitorable improvement for the fulfillment of the company's objectives. Contributions: this analyzed conceptual binomial generates, effectiveness and optimization in document management in companies, contributing to the improvement in organizational efficiency, the decisions and productivity, based on the analysis of organizational practices.
