Acute abdomen revealing giant inguinoscrotal bladder hernia

Inguinal bladder hernia is a very rare clinical form, representing 1-4% of inguinal hernias. More than 90% of cases are discovered intraoperatively, with iatrogenic bladder injury occurring in 16% of cases. We report the case of a 67-year-old patient with a history of left inguinal hernia, who presented with a strangulated ingui-noscrotal hernia with a tense bursa, painful spontaneously and irreducible to palpation. The abdominopelvic CT scan revealed a giant inguinoscrotal bladder hernia. The bladder resection for a necrosis portion was indicated. This case presents interesting considerations and potential pitfalls when evaluating a patient with an inguinal hernia.
