A Structural Equation Modeling Analysis for Online Learning Satisfaction in the Philippines

The availability of different learning modalities due to the implementation of online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic has been widely established. The satisfaction of students is correlated with a positive academic performance and should be explored. The aim of this study was to assess factors affecting student satisfaction in the near end of the COVID-19 pandemic. The structural equation modeling analysis was utilized in this study, showing that e-learning platforms provided the most significant factor affecting student satisfaction indirectly, followed by e-learning activities on student satisfaction, internet connection, online environment, and distractions. It could be deduced from the results that students are satisfied and have well adopted with the technology usage for online learning. In this aspect, teaching quality prompted a positive outlook since students have the same experience and learning with either modalities of online or traditional learning. It is suggested among institutions that proper guidelines and assessment on what platform and environmental aspect to suggest among students with online learning and blended learning would be beneficial. The satisfaction of students should be one of the categories institutions should consider having positive academic output alongside their motivation to continue learning. With the positive satisfaction gained, students would be more motivated, promising a positive academic performance among learners.
