The politics of space: Argentinian science fiction in the end of the twentieth century

The relevance bestowed upon the science fiction output developed in Argentina during the decade of 1980 seems, forty years in retrospect, undeniable. The following article provides an overview of the period based on the hypothesis that the sensibility developed between 1978 and the end of the century relays upon a new concept of science fiction, one that addresses generic features as specific literary devices. In turn, this way of reading would enable an articulation that shaped fictional space and enunciation into the form of a skeptical utopiaion.
