THE ARTISTIC LANGUAGE OF CRAFT: CRAFT AS AN AUTHORAL PIECE; WITH CONCEPT, SYMBOLISM AND CULTURAL MATERIALS

The research proposes a sensitive look at the artistic language of crafts as an authorial piece; with concept, symbolism, and regional cultural materials. The guiding problem is how to add value to handicrafts, not limited to the product's functional aspects. The methodology used, through bibliographical research, opts for crossing the meanings of authors who address the theme. The dialogue takes place considering the historicity, the cultural dynamics rooted in the communities, and the spaces of production, fruition, and connections. The aim is to recreate a space for reflection, where one can bet on the richness of the artistic processes present in handicrafts, finding their place in the world of arts and the creative economy, as well as their relevance as intangible heritage of their territories, in the desire for a place that gives hypotheses beyond conceptual limits.
