摘要
Among the various medieval translations of the Bible into Catalan known to us, only one translation of the entire Bible has come down to us. This version is preserved in full in a manuscript from the second half of the fifteenth century; two other manuscripts, also from the second half of the fifteenth century, contain much of the Old Testament (from the book of Genesis to the book of Psalms) and another, from the fourteenth century, contains the New Testament. Several other manuscripts contain fragments of the same version. In this article we seek to show that it was not only the New Testament that was translated in the fourteenth century, and in the first half of the century at that, but also the Old Testament, making it entirely accurate to call the Bible in question the fourteenth-century Bible.
