摘要：

Rio de Janeiro Metropolitan Region suffered big changes in public system of urban transport by implementation of various transport projects between 2010 and 2016. This paper aims to analyze these urban transport projetc, emphasizing the relationship between State and Private sector in their conduct. For this purpose, data from the 2010 Demographic Census and concession contracts were analyzed, besides of interviews with agents that operate in public and urban transport sector. This paper concludes that the metropolitan displacements in RMRJ were among the worst in the country before the introduction of urban and public transport policies and that these had as their main guideline meet the requirements of transport entrepreneurs.
