Method: Cross-sectional descriptive study of a quantitative and association type, developed in 197 active students during the semester A 2021. Results: the findings of this work show an availability of leisure and free time activities and free time, levels of motivation and satisfaction similar for the male and female gender, with a predominance of practicing activities within the framework of emotional and sociocultural leisure. The male students maintain their interest in emotional leisure activities among the activities they do and would like to do in free time, while the female students differ from the activities of interest towards cognitive leisure.
