摘要
Since 2006, the municipalities of Peru have resources from the mining canon to serve the population under their jurisdiction, according to the devices issued and in force, their use must be related to investments and if these are concluded, up to 20 % can be used. in its maintenance. The primary objective is to know to what extent subnational governments such as municipalities have made their investments from the mining canon in projects or activities that have contributed to the rural development of the towns, that is, to the positive change that has occurred in their jurisdiction, in especially if poverty has been reduced. The research corresponds to the interpretive paradigm, with a quantitative approach, using the hermeneutics method, with a case study, the technique and instrument applied is the review of information and documentary analysis, the sample being the District Municipality of San Miguel de Aco, from the province of Carhuaz, in the Ancash Region, taking into consideration that the mining canon is one of its main sources of income.
