摘要：

The article discusses the international dimension of the development of Communist parties in Jamaica between 1933 and 1991. A little known attempt to create a Communist party in 1933 is investigated as an example of Caribbean internationalism. The international support to Jamaican communists before the demise of the Soviet Union in 1991 is also tackled in the context of the Cold War.
