摘要
Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) have captivated researcher's attention in recent years due to their diverse antibacterial traits and natural characteristics. A highly promising approach for creating a technology that is both quick and ecologically friendly looks to be biogenically synthesizing AgNPs from plants and microorganisms. The ability of plants and microbes to produce AgNPs is mostly unexplored, and the wide range of plants and microbes causes this lack of research. This review aims to present the current state of the art in various synthesis processes for AgNPs and their potential antimicrobial uses. It examines the biogenic synthesis of the AgNPs from diverse natural resources, antibacterial mechanisms, characterization methods, the role of operational variables on AgNP biosynthesis, which influence bactericidal activity, factors affecting bactericidal functioning of AgNPs, quorum sensing inhibition in AgNPs and antimicrobial relevance of AgNPs. Moreover, the current state, crucial issues, and prospects of AgNPs will be investigated, all of which will impact their current and future situations. This review, we feel, will help readers construct a new perspective by focusing on nature-inspiring, biologically synthesized AgNPs and their bactericidal uses.
