摘要
The changing landscape of today's US health care system calls for a different approach in care delivery. To adequately address the health care challenges, and improve patients' outcomes, while reducing the per capita cost of health care, key stakeholders such as academic and health care leaders must come together to provide health profession students interprofessional learning opportunities that include didactic and authentic clinical training to become a practice -ready member of today's health care workforce. Additionally, faculty and health professionals teaching IPE must engage in ongoing faculty development and serve as role models. Finally, the significance of the inclusion of SDOH, culture, cultural humility, and social justice in the IPEC 2023 core competencies cannot be overemphasized. All health care professionals must work together and develop strategies that break down the silos and barriers and address health inequities.
