A Circular Patch Antenna with Bottleneck feed and DGS for C-Band and X-Band Applications

摘要
In this paper, a circular patch antenna with bottleneck feed and DGS is proposed. The antenna is fed with a bottleneck microstrip feed. The proposed antenna is developed on an FR-4 substrate with a thickness of 1.65 mm. The proposed antenna is a dual-band antenna operating with a bandwidth of 2.98 GHz (4.62 - 7.60 GHz) and 4.34 GHz (8.68 - 13.02 GHz) with a return loss of -37.79 dB at 5.6 GHz and -31.45 dB at 10.18 GHz. The peak gains obtained are 2.55 dBi and 5.59 dBi at 5.65 GHz and 10.15 GHz respectively. The Ansys HFSS EM Solver is used to simulate the proposed antenna.
