摘要：

This article presents a study of active ageing from a local and citizen proximity perspective. The research aims to serve as a reference framework for the actions implemented by municipal social services in this area, with an impact on the community, professionals and academia. It presents the existing resources for older people in the region of Ribera Alta (Spain), as well as the analysis of the discourse and narrative, through the interviews carried out with the 23 participants. The results determine the realities, needs, demands and actions developed in the region of La Ribera Alta (Valencia) from the perspective of the elderly as well as the proposals for action that the enunciate.
