Infusing social justice into the signature pedagogy: a decision-making model emphasizing anti-racism, diversity, equity, and inclusion (ADEI) in social work practicum

摘要
Social work practicum is a core experience for students at the bachelor's and master's levels. Practicum links the academy with the practitioner world and exposes gaps in preparation, integration, and aspiration between these two worlds. This article focuses on what students learn about anti-racism, diversity, equity, and inclusion (ADEI) in classes, what they experience in agency settings, and how practicum education contributes to the widening of that gap. This article will propose solutions for practicum education to embrace ADEI approaches to produce social work professionals skilled in navigating complex racial environments for themselves and their clients.
