摘要
The motivational climate in sport is a predictor of the athlete's motivation, enjoyment, dropout, anxiety, and self-esteem. This study aims to obtain a Portuguese version of the Perceived Motivational Climate in Sport Questionnaire 2 (PMCSQ-2), contributing with a more current instrument that evaluates the motivational climate in sport, according to several subfactors. This will allow us to analyse and intervene in the Portuguese sports context. We proceed to the PMCSQ-2 translation, with the final version being applied to 499 young athletes with ages between 12 and 18 years old. The sub-factors -Cooperative Learning, Punishment for Mistakes, Unequal Recognition, Important Roles, Effort/Improvement -revealed good internal consistency. The confirmatory factor analysis revealed that the Portuguese version of the questionnaire has adequate psychometric properties that make it suitable for future studies.
